Private Interiors
Residency No. 1: The Fifth Avenue Hotel, NYC, December 2025
The work was done on location in a room overlooking Manhattan and back in the studio, post-stay. These drawings and paintings mark the first chapter in the ongoing series of Private Interiors. Each drawing is a snapshot in ink, charcoal or watercolor on paper, and acts as a way to imprint sensation and memory onto a tangible object. The paintings are the result of deeper meditation on the subjects and the setting.

Residency No. 2: The Chelsea Hotel, NYC, March 2026
The reference for this chapter was gathered in the famous Hotel Chelsea, in a tall ceilinged room filled with natural light. The drawings began on location. The paintings were completed in the studio. The Chelsea called for work with deeper psychological intimacy, lived in familiarity, sensual and creative promise. The reintroduction of pencils to my practice allowed this quality to re-enter the works on paper.
