Vincent Nappi makes figurative paintings.

The work is about beauty in private spaces. Hotel rooms, interior light, the tension between people when no one else is watching.

Since 2025 he has been working through Private Interiors, a self-directed residency series developed through stays at notable hotels. Paintings and drawings made on-site and in the studio are released in limited cycles to a private collector list. The second residency takes place at the Chelsea Hotel in March 2026.

He works within a specific tradition: Helmut Newton's sense of glamour, Bryan Ferry's understanding of style as personal mythology, Guido Crepax's psychological charge. The work is a distillation of desire, people, places and obsessions. Some recognizable, some not.

He lives and works in Florida.
